Privacy Policy
How Conroe Tree Co. handles the information you give us. Effective September 2, 2026.
Conroe Tree Co., referred to below as “we,” “us,” or “our,” provides tree care services in Conroe, TX and the surrounding communities. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, our phone and text lines, and our contact forms; why we collect it; how long we keep it; how we protect it; and the choices you have. It applies to everyone who contacts us or uses this website.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information that helps us quote and perform tree work. We do not buy contact lists, and we do not collect information about you from data brokers.
Information you give us directly
- Quote and contact requests. When you submit the estimate form on this site, we collect your phone number and email address, and your name if you choose to give it. Anything you tell us about the work itself is collected in the follow-up call, message, or site visit.
- Chat messages. If you use the chat window on this site, we collect the name, phone number, or email you provide there along with the content of your messages.
- Calls and text messages. When you call or text us, we collect your phone number and the content of the conversation so we can respond and keep a record of what was agreed.
- Text message consent. If you check the box consenting to receive text messages, we record that you consented, the wording you agreed to, and the date and time you agreed to it.
- Job and service information. To quote and complete work we collect the service address, notes and photographs of the trees and property conditions relevant to the job, appointment times, and records of estimates, invoices, and payments.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data. Our hosting provider records standard server information such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time of the request. This is used to keep the site running and secure.
- Cookies. The pages of this website do not set advertising or tracking cookies of our own. The embedded quote form and chat window, which are provided by our messaging platform, may set cookies necessary for those tools to function, and the embedded map may set cookies set by Google. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the form and chat may not work correctly if you do.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information. Please do not send us Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, health information, or government identification numbers through this website, the chat window, or text message. We do not need them to quote or perform tree work.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above only to:
- respond to your estimate request, question, or emergency call;
- prepare and send you a written estimate;
- schedule, confirm, and perform the work, and reach you or your crew on the job day;
- send you appointment reminders, arrival notices, follow-ups, invoices, and receipts;
- answer service questions and handle warranty or follow-up requests;
- keep records required for accounting, insurance, and tax purposes;
- maintain the security of this website and prevent fraud and abuse; and
- comply with the law and with the messaging rules described in Section 4.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or license it. We do not share it with anyone for their own advertising or marketing.
3. Text Messaging and Mobile Information
This section governs every phone number and text message consent we hold, and it controls over anything else in this policy.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in records, and the consent you give us are collected and used solely by Conroe Tree Co. to communicate with you about your own estimate or job. They are never sold, never rented, never traded, and never disclosed to any other business for that business’s own use. This applies to affiliates and marketing partners exactly as it applies to strangers. The only parties who ever handle this data are the messaging and scheduling vendors described in Section 5, who act on our written instructions, may use it only to deliver our messages to you, and are prohibited from using it for any purpose of their own.
We send text messages only to people who asked us to. Consent to receive text messages is never required in order to get an estimate, buy anything, or receive service from us. You may withdraw it at any time by replying STOP to any message from us, and we will stop. Reply HELP to any message for help, or contact us using the details in Section 11. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies; most customers receive fewer than 10 messages per month. The full terms of our messaging program, including the categories of messages we send, are published in our SMS Terms and Conditions.
4. When We Disclose Information
We disclose personal information in four narrow situations, and in no others:
- To our own crew. The people performing your job receive the service address, contact number, and job notes they need to do the work.
- To service providers acting for us. Described in Section 5.
- When the law requires it. In response to a valid subpoena, court order, or other lawful demand, or where disclosure is necessary to investigate suspected fraud, protect our legal rights, or protect someone’s safety.
- In a business transfer. If the business is sold or merged, customer records may transfer to the buyer, who must continue to honor this policy. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from any such transfer; consent does not transfer, and a buyer wishing to text you must obtain your consent again.
5. Service Providers
We use a small number of vendors to run the business. They may process your information only to provide their service to us, under contract, and may not use it for their own purposes or disclose it to anyone else:
- Customer messaging and scheduling platform. Hosts our quote form, chat window, customer records, and our phone and text messaging. This is the platform through which our text messages are sent and received.
- Telecommunications carriers. Deliver calls and text messages between us and you. Carriers handle message traffic as part of delivering it.
- Website hosting. Serves the pages of this site and keeps standard server logs.
- Mapping. The map embedded on our contact page is served by Google, which may collect data as described in its own privacy policy.
- Payment processing and accounting. Handle invoices and payments. We do not store full payment card numbers ourselves.
These vendors are processors acting for us, not independent recipients of your data. Engaging them is not a sale or a sharing of your information, and, as stated in Section 3, none of them is permitted to use your phone number or your text message consent for anything other than delivering our own communications to you.
We value your privacy. Mobile information and SMS consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will strictly not be shared with any third parties.
6. How Long We Keep Information
- Estimate requests that never became jobs: up to two years, then deleted.
- Customer and job records, including invoices: at least four years, to meet Texas tax and recordkeeping requirements and to support warranty and insurance claims.
- Text message consent and opt-out records: kept for as long as we hold your number and for at least four years after, because messaging rules require us to be able to prove both that you consented and that we honored your opt-out. This is the one category we keep after you opt out, and we keep it specifically so that you are not texted again.
- Server logs: typically 30 to 90 days.
7. How We Protect Information
This website is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection, and information you submit through our form or chat is encrypted in transit. Customer records are held in password-protected, access-controlled accounts on our messaging and scheduling platform, and access is limited to the owner and the staff who need it to do their jobs. We review who has access when someone joins or leaves. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but if a breach affecting your personal information occurs we will notify you and the Texas Attorney General as required by Texas Business and Commerce Code Chapter 521.
8. Your Choices and Your Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may at any time:
- reply STOP to any text message to stop all further texts from us;
- ask us to stop calling or emailing you;
- ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong; or
- ask us to delete your information, subject to the records we are required to keep under Section 6.
Texas residents. Under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act you have the right to confirm whether we process your personal data, to access it, to correct it, to delete it, to obtain a portable copy, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and profiling with legal effects. We do not sell personal data, do not process it for targeted advertising, and do not profile anyone, so those opt-outs have nothing to apply to, but the right exists and we will confirm that in writing on request. To exercise any right, contact us using Section 11. We will verify your request by matching the details you give us against our records and will respond within 45 days, with one 45-day extension if reasonably necessary. There is no charge for the first request in a 12-month period. If we deny a request you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will respond to the appeal within 60 days; if the appeal is denied you may submit a complaint to the Texas Attorney General at texasattorneygeneral.gov.
Residents of other states. If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, or Virginia, we will honor the equivalent rights that law gives you. Because we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, we have no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” process to offer; the answer is that we do not do it.
9. Children
This website and our services are directed to property owners and managers, not to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to Other Sites
This site links to outside resources, such as the Texas A&M Forest Service. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. This policy covers only Conroe Tree Co..

12. Changes to This Policy
If we change how we handle personal information we will post the revised policy here and update the effective date at the top. We will not apply a materially different practice to information we already hold without telling you first. In particular, we will never amend this policy to permit the sale or sharing of mobile phone numbers or text message consent; that commitment in Section 3 is permanent.
